Welcome all new and returning families to the 2010-2011 school year. We hope you all had a
wonderful summer and have an equally wonderful school year. We are very eager to get our
programs, events and efforts underway.
The P.T.O. at Milton Elementary/Middle School strives for continued parental involvement to
help build a better educational environment for our children. The additional resources we
provide help to promote school pride and make learning fun. We are able to offer an abundance
of non-monetary support through our volunteer efforts.
As a parent of a Milton Elementary?Middle School child, you are automatically a member of
P.T.O. No registration or payment of dues is required and meetings are not mandatory.
However your input at our meetings is very beneficial and we do highly recommend that you
visit our website through http://new.schoolnotes.com/MEMS to stay informed of current PTO
events/activites and volunteer opportunities. Regardless of your time constraints, talents or
expertise, there is surely a program, event or activity that can benefit from your volunteer
commitment.
Please take a few moments to complete the Volunteer Sign UP Form. Volunteers are vital in
making each of these events and committees a success! We need your ideas, your energy, and
most of all, your children need you to be a voice for them. Forms can be returned to your
child's homeroom teacher or you can do it on-line.
Our Spirit Shirt Sale is on going. We will be accepting orders until September 15th. Any
orders submitted after September 15th will be ordered in our next order, November 115th.
Order forms will be available on our website and turned in with payment to your child's
homeroom teacher.
Please note taht we are continuing our Boxtops for Education Campaign, Community Coffee
Labels Campaign, Campbells' Labels for Education and Tyson's Foods A+ for this year. Please
continue to collect these labels and submit them to the school throughout the year. Details to
all of these programs will be coming soon in our newsletter!
