We will begin our travels through space this week! Mission
Base Station is a fun way to practice our little addition facts.
We will begin with our zero facts (0+1, 0+2) etc. The
students will have one minute to complete 20 problems. If
they get them all correct, they get to move to the next
planet. If they don't get them all correct, they stay where
they are and try again the next day. Once they reach their
final destination, THE MOON, they receive a candy bar of
their choice. Every time they move to a different planet,
they receive two skittles. Please encourage your child to
practice nightly. Below are the sheets that we will use for
testing. You can print these for your child to practice. This
is a fun little competition, but it is actually very important for
them to master their facts for second grade.
