Dear Mrs. Juneau, Kailey and classmates:
I am Kailey's MiMi,and I received the letter today here in Loveland, Colorado. Her Pop and I were
as excited as a kids to be receiving mail from our special little girl and her class. I have a friend
who received a letter from a Flat Lauren and she has given me some suggestions on things I can
send to your class to help with your project.
I'm sure Kailey has told you all about her two (2) trips to Colorado and that she and here family
are flying here for Easter and Spring Break. We will be staying in a 2 level cabin up in the
mountains of Estes Park Resort and for the week and we will try take as many pictures to bring to
class even though the project is due by Easter. Kailey, pop and I want to thank you for thinking of
us as your Pen Pal.
I'll tell the class a little bit about this state in this letter. Colorado is such a beautiful state and it
is cold in winter, but the snow we get makes us enjoy it. The summer is not like at home in Louisiana.
I gets warm, but never hot like in La. It never rains and the wind is usually blowing strong. There
are a lot of places to snow ski in winter and even when it doesn't snow much, the resorts make
fake snow to ski . In summer when Kailey came up and we went to the creeks and she put her feet
in the water, it was freezing cold. So it is never warm to swim outside. All hotels and resorts have
indoor pools or hot tubs. There are a lot of Elk, Deer with huge racks and even goat with big horns.
We live 22 miles from the mountains and ride up there often on weekends just to see the beautiful
sites, since it is so different from where we grew up. I could go on and on about Colorado, but I
will try my best to send pictures and other things to all of you.
Kailey, we can't wait to see you on Good Friday. We miss you sooooooo much and love you as big as
the world, as you know!! Mrs. Juneau and all the class, we wish you a Happy Easter and hope the
rest of the school year goes by fast and fun.
